“Laggiù, noi abbiamo una pianta che cresce nei boschi e nei campi
e assomiglia a qualcosa come una rapa verde.
Tutti la chiamano Polk Salad;
Ora, quella è la Polk Salad.
Conoscevo una ragazza che viveva laggiù
e che, ogni sera, doveva uscire a prendere un casino di Polk Salad;
poi la portava a casa e la cucinava per cena,

Ma stavano comunque bene.
Laggiù in Louisiana ,
dove i coccodrilli crescono molto cattivi,
