Oggi, sul set e con 3 giorni di anticipo, si festeggia il 55° compleanno del Colonnello. Al party ci sono amici e conoscenti (tra cui l’attore Nick Adams, della cui carriera il Colonnello ha continuato ad interessarsi)

Alla fine delle riprese, Elvis regala dozzine di orologi da polso che ha disegnato personalmente e che ha fatto fare al gioielliere di Memphis, Harry Levitch.
Gli orologi riproducono alternativamente una croce e una stella di David, simboli che per Elvis sono significano fratellanza universale e con questo spirito, li distribuisce al cast e alla troupe.

Elvis è alla Western Recorder per registrare la canzone di Earl Brown “If I Can Dream”. Fa numerose tracce, ma tutte sono ricche di enfasi e di passione.
La band registra la parte strumentale di “Memories”, una nuova composizione di Mac Davis, che nello special Elvis canta dal vivo.
