A Hollywood, Abe Lastfogel, presidente della William Morris telegrafa al Colonnello per informarlo che è stato definito un nuovo contratto con la 20th Century Fox.
Dal momento che non ha ancora in mano un’adeguata sceneggiatura. Hal Wallis ha ventilato che vuole fare lui il primo film di Elvis, praticamente facendolo partecipare al film “The Reno Brothers”, le cui riprese inizieranno alla fine del mese.
Elvis riceverà $ 100.00 e l’apparizione sulla locandina, come co-protagonista.
La Fox ha anche un’opzione per altri due film a $150.000 per il primo e $ 200.000 per il secondo (in seguito si capirà che i film sono “Flaming Star” e “Wild in the Country” )
