PEr questo tour, Elvis ha un impegno di 3 settimane all’Hilton Hotel.
Adducendo a malattia, all’ultimo minuto Elvis vuole cancellare di due show di stasera, ma il Colonnello insiste che deve farli, perché non c’è stato un adeguato preavviso.
Per tutta la serata, Elvis guarda ripetutamente il suo orologio e già dalla mattina dopo, ogni cosa pubblicitaria dei concerti di Elvis è stata tolta, mentre sulla lobby c’è un piccolo cartello che dice “La parte restante del tour di Elvis Presley è stato cancellato, causa malattia”

Poiché stava male, cancella tutti gli altri shows e nei giorni successivi, soffrendo si stress, fa dei controlli e si cura al Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis TN.x

IL PADRE DI ELVIS RINGRAZIA “Quello che ho visto, con gli omaggi a mio figlio, provenienti da tutto il mondo, ha rischiarato la mia angoscia…… Mi dispiace che non tutti coloro che sono venuti a Memphis, hanno avuto la possibilità di vedere la salma, ma non c’era abbastanza tempo……. Voglio esprimere la mia sincera e profonda simpatia alle famiglie delle ragazze coinvolte in questa riprovevole cosa, che è successa al cancello”.
