Dopo il primo show, il giudice Marion Gooding lo rimprovera e gli intima di moderare i suoi atteggiamenti sul palco.
Elvis dice ad un giornalista “Non riesco a capire cosa faccio di sbagliato. So che anche mia madre approva quello che faccio”. Nonostante queste affermazioni, Elvis modifica il suo show, inserendo dei movimenti delle dita della mano che sostituiscono i movimenti del suo corpo, ma anche così il pubblico impazzisce
