Salve, ho deciso d iniziare questa nuova discussione xkè è da tanto ke mi rodo il cervello, kiedendomi quale sia il cantante o il gruppo ke detiene il record del maggior numero d singoli arrivati al #1 d billboard... in questo momento nn mi ricordo quanti ne abbia collezionati elvis, ma d certo anke i beatles ne hanno collezionati parekki ed anke madonna, a quanto so. Poi c sarebbe pure micheal jackson, ma mi pare ke i suoi singoli arrivati al #1 d questa classifica nn superino i 18... sapete risolvermi questo atroce dubbio??? se nn ricordo male elvis ne ha collezionati + di venti, proprio cm i beatles...

Ho capito, grazie... xò se nn mi ricordo male, sfogliando il libro dei guinness dei primati, qualke anno fa(aggiornato al 1999) un record apparteneva ad Elvis, ma nn mi ricordo proprio quale... ma cmq le 11 settimane al #1 d hound dog e don't be cruel nella classifica UK, sn mai state superate da qualke altro successo, anke se in una classifica estera? tradotto, c'è mai stato qualke altro artista ke ha superato cn un suo singolo le 11 settimane al #1 in qualsiasi altra classifica? io mi ricordo solo d hey jude dei beatles ke è stata x 9 settimane al #1 d billboard, e bohemian rhapsody dei queen ke è stata, se nn mi ricordo male, 10 settimane al #1 in UK...

sembra proprio ke, almeno fino al 1999 questo record sia rimasto imbattuto, xkè ho letto le varie discussioni d questo forum, e sono incappato pure in un articolo scritto in quell'anno da un giornalista ke, nonostante + ke altro sparlava a sproposito su elvis, diceva ke questo record nn è stato + battuto... poi nn mi pare ke nell'arco d 8 anni c siano state singoli ke siano rimasti così tanto...

Oggi ho scoperto che in realtà il record di permanenza al #1 stabilito da Elvis con "Hound dog" e "Don't be cruel"(11 settimane) è stato superato: nel 1992 infatti, i Boyz II Men, con il loro singolo "End of the road" raggiunsero le 13 settimane, superato qualche settimana dopo da "I will always love you" di Whitney Houston, che raggiunse le 14 settimane; gli stessi Boyz II Men la raggiunsero nel 1994 con "I'll make love to you", e l'anno dopo, sempre i Boyz II Men, in collaborazione con Mariah Carey realizzarono il singolo "One sweet day", che stette al #1 (negli U.S.A.) per ben 16 settimane. E il bello è che io di questo gruppo non ne avevo mai sentito parlare!
