Mi ricordo di avergli chiesto “Se ti dessi il “Mc Arthur Park” da incidere, lo faresti?”
E lui “Assolutamente sì”.

D. Hai nominato “MacArthur Park”. Mi sembra che Elvis abbia cantato uno o due righe di questa canzone?

SB: Sì. Credo che sia stato un fatto inconscio. Penso che, mentre facevamo lo show, nei momenti in cui era particolarmente era nervoso, gli tornassero alla mente quelle conversazioni preliminari che avevamo fatto e che da subito gli erano rimaste impresse. Credo abbia cantato “MacArthur Park” durante la parte improvvisata.

E' una gran bella canzone .................... anche se non ricordo se fu un successo anche in Italia

La mia domanda è:

Secondo voi, come l'avrebbe fatta Elvis? Sarebbe stata più vicina alla versione di Richard Harris o a quella di Donna Summer?

C'è una canzone di Elvis che potrebbe dare l'idea del ritmo che avrebbe scelto?

L'ho sempre amata tanto questa canzone!!
La versione di Elvis sarebbe stata fantastica secondo me... Il sound l'immagino un pò come quello delle sessions del '69 a Memphis, su quello stile diciamo...

La versione di Elvis secondo me si sarebbe avvicinata a quella di Richard Harris.
Anche se lui l'avrebbe resa unica con la sua voce
