Oltre ad essere una canzone stupenda ( cantata da lui diventa sublime) sembra scritta per Elvis! Ascoltando le ultime versioni ho l'impressione che lui la canti pensando a se steso, alla sua vita e quando lui pronuncia..."and now the end is near.." mi viene un nodo in gola...sigh..ogni volta!!!

La canzone è bellissima, e vorrei citare il papà di questa canzone che cantata da lui è altrettanto bella, pur avendo un significato diverso e molto romantico.

In inglese fu tradotta e cantata da Paul Anka e successivamente ripresa da Frank Sinatra ed Elvis Presley!
