L'uscita dell' FTD "Rocking Across Texas", attesa per il 1° Gennaio 2005, e posticipata al 1° Marzo 2005, sarà la combinazione di un libro + 2 cd.
Il libro, ad opera di Stanley Oberst, conterrà aneddoti e rare fotografie.
I 2 cd conterranno i concerti di Elvis del 19 Giugno 1974 ad Amarillo - Texas -, e del 3 Luglio 1976 a Fort Worth - Texas, oltre ad una breve intervista risalente al 1960 ad Elvis Presley e al Colonnello Tom Parker.

Questa è la copertina del nuovo libro-cd della collezione FTD "Rocking Across Texas" di Stanley Oberst.
Come precedentemente descritto nei messaggi in questo topic, il libro conterrà racconti e fotografie; mentre il cd ci darà la possibilità di ascoltare 2 concerti di Elvis:
quello del 19 Giugno 1974 ad Amarillo, Texas;
e quello del 03 Luglio 1976 a Fort Worth, Texas.
Vi sarà inoltre un'intervista risalente al 1960 ad Elvis Presley e al Colonnello Parker.

L'uscita è prevista per il 01 Aprile 2005.

Le prossime uscite dell'etichetta "Follow That Dream" saranno probabilmente:
- un cd live,
- e il cd "Loving You" oppure il cd "Something For Everybody" per le "special edition".

Queste uscite dovrebbero entrare in circolazione la prima settimana di Gennaio 2006.

Quest'anno non ci sarà nessun FTD come regalo di Natale...

Ernst Jorgensen ha dato conferma che la prossima uscita FTD per il mese di Gennaio 2006, sarà un cd live e il cd "Loving You".

Questo è il cd "live" promesso dall'etichetta Follow That Dream per il mese di Gennaio 2006.
Il titolo del cd è "Southern Nights".

E' una compilation "live" del tour fatto da Elvis Presley nella primavera del 1975.
E' un soundboard recording con 25 canzoni.

Questo periodo era già stato preso in considerazione nell'uscita "Dixieland Rocks", ma con questo cd ci viene mostrato quanto vasto era il repertorio di Elvis in quel periodo.

L'altro FTD, sempre in uscita a Gennaio 2006, è un doppio cd contenente la colonna sonora del film "Loving You".

La FTD è stata capace in questa occasione di ottenere una manciata di canzoni nella versione cinematografica da un'eccezionale fonte di registrazione.
Nel cd 2 si ha l'opportunità di ascoltare tutte le "takes" di registrazione della canzone "Loving You" della session del 14 Febbraio 1957.

Ernst Jorgensen ha dato notizia che i prossimi FTD in uscita per il mese di Luglio 2006 saranno:

- un soundboard di un concerto a Las Vegas del mese di Gennaio o Febbraio 1974;
- la colonna sonora del film "Clambake" per quanto riguarda la serie "Classic Album".

C'è inoltre la probabilità che venga aggiunto un ulteriore "classic album".

Vi daremo come sempre ulteriori notizie appena ci giungeranno...

Nel mese di Luglio 2006 saranno 3 le releases dell'etichetta FTD.

E' infatti stato aggiunta una versione "deluxe" del primo album di Elvis: "Elvis Presley".Dovrebbe contenere la versione originale dell'album con l'aggiunta di outtakes, inoltre come bonus è prevista un'intervista del 1956 ad Elvis Presley.

Per quanto riguarda il soundboard, il concerto scelto è quello del 27 Gennaio 1974 e il cd avrà il titolo di "I Found My Thrill".

Il cd della colonna sonora del film "Clambake" conterrà, come sempre, la versione originale + outtakes.


La FTD ha inoltre annunciato che sta lavorando ad un progetto "Hawaii 61". Non è ancora stato deciso se sarà un cd, un cd + un libro o forse anche un dvd.
Continuano inoltre i lavori per il progetto relativo al materiale SUN (libro + cd), che dovrebbe essere pronto per il mese di Novembre 2006, ma ancora non ci sono conferme a riguardo.

Già arrivano notizie riguardanti i progetti dell'etichetta Follow That Dream per il 2007.

Per Gennaio 2007 è prevista l'uscita di un cd dal titolo "Unchained Melody", in cui è contenuto materiale live del mese di Febbraio 1977.

Ad Aprile 2007 uscirà "An American Trilogy" in cui si possono ascoltare registrazioni live a Las Vegas del 1972.

Il 1° Gennaio 2007 l'etichetta "Follow That Dream" pubblicherà il cd "Unchained Melody" in cui è contenuta la registrazione soundboard del concerto di Elvis Presley del 20 Febbraio 1977 a Charlotte, North Carolina.

Per ragioni sconosciute, l'ingegnere del suono non ha mai registrato l'inizio dei concerti di questo tour, cosicchè il concerto parte direttamente dalla canzone "Love Me", tralasciando l'inizio del concerto.

Sono inoltre incluse nel cd altre canzoni bonus prese da altri concerti.

Ernst Jorgensen a tal riguardo ha risposto che la canzone è stata mal registrata....

Sembra confermata per il mese di Aprile 2007 l'uscita del nuovo FTD dal titolo "An American Trilogy", in cui si potrà ascoltare materiale live del periodo Febbraio 1972.
Le registrazioni provengono dai concerti all'Hilton Hotel di Las Vegas.

E' prevista l'uscita per il 01 Aprile 2007 da parte dell'etichetta "Follow That Dream" del cd "Live In LA": registrazione soundboard di un concerto dell'11 Maggio 1974 all'Inglewood Forum + libro fotografico.
Il libro conterrà più di 200 foto prese da vari concerti di Elvis a Los Angeles.

Sempre per il 01 Aprile 2007 la FTD distribuirà nella serie "Classic Album" il doppio cd "50 Milion Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong".

Con questi album classici, la FTD ridistribuisce ciò che praticamente non esiste più nel catalogo RCA.

Il doppio cd include l'album originale e altro materiale bonus.
In particolare è stato deciso di inserire l'intera session del 10 Giugno 1958 per far rivivere l'esperienza di seguire Elvis durante un'intera notte di prove in studio.
Sono incluse anche 3 interviste ad Elvis Presley.

Riguardo i cd "Raised On Rock" e "Easy Come, Easy Go" c'è una comunicazione da parte di Ernst Jorgensen.

Le persone che lavorano per l'etichetta "Follow That Dream" hanno optato per una nuova politica informativa, in particolare per la serie "Classic Album".

Le ragioni per cui non è ancora stata resa nota la tracklist dei 2 album "Raised On Rock" e "Easy Come, Easy Go" sono molte, tra cui:
1) Vengono sempre fatti annunci prima di conoscere i dettagli delle releases;
2) Ferma convinzione che i fans capiscono la logica di base delle releases della "Classic Album" serie;
3) Non sono interessati a commenti ostili che ormai sembrano all'ordine del giorno.
Del tipo: Perchè quella traccia sì e quell'altra no? Joe Tunzi ha scritto quella cosa e tu hai detto quell'altra...

Se le persone hanno dubbi sull'interesse nei confronti di un determinato cd, non devono fare altro che aspettare di leggere le recensioni.

Solo per le release come ad esempio "I Sing All Kinds" (in uscita il 1° Luglio 2007) verranno comunicati i dettagli.

All'inizio del mese di Novembre 2007 verranno distribuiti i nuovi cd dall'etichetta Follow That Dream: "Pot Luck" e "Girls! Girls! Girls!".

"Girls! Girls! Girls!": è un cd singolo. Gran parte delle registrazioni delle sessions sono scomparse e si pensa che difficilmente si potranno recuperare. Tutto ciò che è disponibile è raccolto su questo cd.

"Pot Luck" invece propone materiale in abbondanza.

Dalla masterizzazione fatta, entrambe le releases hanno una qualita audio ottima.

La prima tranche di cd è già stata spedita ai vari distributori, quindi chi acquisterà il cd in questo periodo avrà la copertina con il nome errato.
L'errore, ovviamente, verrà corretto in tutte le prossime distribuzioni del cd.

Gli FTD che verranno distribuiti a Luglio 2008 sono 3:

1) AMERICA: un soundboard del mese di Aprile 1976 con registrazioni provenienti dal concerto di Omaha.

2) MEMPHIS TENNESSEE (THE LOST ALBUM): nella serie "Classic Album", l'etichetta "Follow That Dream" propone questo album in una versione da 2 cd.

3) LOVE LETTERS FROM ELVIS: Anche questo cd è nella serie "Classic Album" ed è in versione da 2 cd.

I loro magazzini riceveranno prossimamente le ultime 200 copie e, una volta vendute anche queste, il vinile non sarà più disponibile.

Nel primo cd sono contenuti masters, alternate masters, masters dal film, e alcuni bonus.
Nel secondo cd ci sono le takes di registrazione.


- From Sunset To Vegas: doppio cd
La parte principale del cd consiste in prove registrate agli studi RCA di Sunset Boulevard il 16 Agosto 1974.
Nel secondo cd c'è una parte bonus con registrazioni live dell'ingaggio a Las Vegas del periodo Agosto/Settembre 1974.


Ottobre 2009:

- Good Times: doppio cd

L'album della discografia "Good Times", originariamente distribuito nel 1974, viene proposto in versione FTD. Oltre a contenere l'album originale - come sempre per questo tipo di classic release da parte della FTD - contiene outtakes della session di registrazione del 1973 agli studi Stax.


- Rockin' Across Texas: doppio cd
La release era già stata distribuita dalla FTD accompagnata da un libro. Ora il libro è stato tolto e viene distribuito solamente il doppio cd, in cui sono contenuti i concerti del 19 Giugno 1971 ad Amarillo (Texas) e del 03 Luglio 1976 a Fort Worth (Texas)

- Un cd soundboard, di cui però non si conoscono ancora i dettagli.

- The Jungle Room Sessions: 2 dischi vinile
Edizione limitata in vinile del cd già distribuito "The Jungle Room Sessions".
