Elvis lascia Memphis diretto a Los Angeles, con un volo dell’American Airlines.
Molto diligentemente, Tom Diskins manda un telegramma al Colonnello per informarlo che “The Cat” è arrivato ed è pronto per l’incontro con la Century .
Elvis si reca alla 20° Century Fox, per l’incontro di pre produzione del suo primo film, che sarà prodotto David Weisbart, lo stesso produttore del film “Un ribelle senza causa” e sarà diretto dal veterano Robert Webb

Elvis insiste per andare al funerale del padre di Red West, morto ieri.
Elvis è nuovamente sopraffatto dall’ emozione e al Memphis Funeral Home, dove ha luogo la cerimonia funebre, quasi cade tra le braccia di Red.

Più tardi, nel pomeriggio, Elvis va sulla tomba di sua madre

Elvis inizia il servizio fotografico, del film “Flaming Star”, al Conejo Movie Ranch a Thousand Oaks, California. Red West che interpreta l’alterego di Elvis, mentre gira scena di una zuffa, si rompe il gomito

Elvis riceve un telegramma dal presidente della Capitol Records, che lo invita ad un cocktail party a Los Angeles, per il giorno 24, per incontrare i Beatles.

Il Colonnello accorda con la RCA per la pubblicazione di 8 tracce di registrazioni di Elvis, per un anticipo di $ 100.000 sulle royalties, da dividere al 50-50 tra Elvis e il Colonnello
